What channel is the Super Bowl on today

  • TV channel (national): NBC
  • Cincinnati TV Station: WLWT (5)
  • TV Channel (Los Angeles): KNBC (4)

  • The 2022 Super Bowl will be broadcast on NBC. The network was supposed to host the Super Bowl last year, but traded years with CBS to air the Super Bowl at the start of the Winter Olympics. NBC hopes the increase in viewership will serve as a reminder of the Olympics.

  • This will mark NBC's 20th Super Bowl broadcast. Only CBS has broadcast the game more than once (21 times).

  • NBC's top broadcast team of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will call the match from Los Angeles. It may be the last time the duo call a game, as Michaels, a 77-year-old free agent, is expected to jump in and join Amazon's "Friday Night Football" package before the 2022 regular season.

Sideline correspondents Michael Tavoia and Catherine Tabin will join Michaels and Collinsworth during the broadcast, as well as grammar analyst Terry Macaulay. Mike Terrico, Maria Taylor, Jack Collinsworth, Tony Dungy, Drew Bryce, Rodney Harrison and Chris Sims will be part of the network's pre- and post-game coverage.

SUPER BOWL: What uniform do the Bengals wear, Rams

Super Bowl Live Stream

There are many ways viewers will be able to stream the Super Bowl. The easiest way for those with cable subscriptions is to use the NFL app or the Yahoo Sports app, as the league will stream games for free on those platforms if you enter a cable subscription.

NBC's Peacock streaming app will also carry the Super Bowl. Other streaming services like fuboTV, which comes with a free trial, will make the game available. So will Sling, Hulu, YouTube TV, fuboTV and DirecTV Stream.

For fans watching in Canada, Super Bowl 56 can be streamed live on DAZN.

What time does the 2022 Super Bowl start (and end) tonight

Super Bowl Sunday finally arrived, when the Los Angeles Rams faced the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

About 100 million people will turn out to watch the game, which will air this year on NBC, with Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth in the booth. Collinsworth, a former Bengals wide receiver, was on the field in Cincinnati's previous Super Bowl appearances in 1982 and 1989, both of which resulted in losses to Joe Montana and the San Francisco 49ers.

I'm obviously excited. I'm human. I can't help it. It's going to be fun," Collinsworth said earlier this week. "I would have bought a ticket regardless of going to see this game. I happened to have the best seat in the house and sat next to my partner, and what could be better."

Meanwhile, this will be the 11th Super Bowl called by Michaels, tying him with the late Pat Summerle for the most telecasts in NFL history. This will also likely be his last game as NBC's lead NFL broadcaster. Next season, the network plans to pair Collinsworth with Mike Tirico, who currently anchors coverage of the Winter Olympics and will handle NBC's pre-Super Bowl coverage alongside former ESPNer Maria Taylor.

NBC got this year's game after trading points in its Super Bowl rotation with CBS, allowing it to pair the Super Bowl with the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. The last Super Bowl broadcast on NBC was the Eagles' 2018 win over the New England Patriots, which upset Collinsworth and later made amends with the Philadelphia fans.

For the first time in two years, the stadium will be packed with fans as Omicron's wave of COVID-19 subsides. Fans will be required to wear masks and must show evidence of vaccination or a negative test.

The average NFL game usually has about 16 commercial breaks, and because of all the indefinite breaks in play, games don't really have a specific "end time." The Super Bowl is hard to predict, thanks to all those expensive commercials and a full concert in the first half (this year's hip-hop legends Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar) .

So what time will the Rams Bengals actually finish

The last three Super Bowls have been relatively quick, lasting about three hours and 30 minutes. By comparison, the Eagles' 41-33 victory over the Patriots in Super Bowl LII in 2018 lasted until 10:25 p.m. m., lasting just under four hours.

Since 2010, the longest-running Super Bowl game at Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 between the 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens, which lasted four hours and 14 minutes due to a 34-minute blackout at the New Orleans Superdome.

For the past 10 seasons, the average Super Bowl length has been around three hours and 38 minutes. Using this metric, the game will end at approximately 10:08 p.m. m. ET
